District 4 Rebekahs hold Spring Convention

by Sherman Davidson PGP

Story line.    District # 4,  Rebekah Assembly of West Virginia recently held it's  semi-Annual  Convention.   District 4

is one of the few conventions which meet twice a year.   During this convention  each of the lodges of the district made

their report to the convention.    The lodges of the district raised funds which were distributed throughout the state in many

programs of the order and other groups which help  citizens of the state of WV.

This was the fourth and last Convention of the current District Deputy,  Pamela Sue Haymond,   who will be appointed

this October to a state Assembly office.  During her term,   she has done many programs which helped the order  and her

final project will be to present the convention with cookbooks which were recipes given by the members of the Convention

and the past presidents of the Assembly.    She has also arranged for a Rocking Chair from  Cracker Barrel,   which will

be drawn at the next convention.

She was very creative in her  "Frog"  which she created and dressed in Rebekah Garb and was a blown up machine with

an electric Fan.   She displayed it at each lodge she visited and at each Convention.  The Frog was the Official Emblem of

the president of the Rebekah Assembly.   It was also displayed at the Rebekah Assembly.

The Fall convention will be held at Harmony 51, in Morgantown  on  October  31.   All conventions are open to the public

and if you would be interested in becoming a Rebekah,   a visit to a convention may be the item you are looking.    To

contact the District convention,  one may do so by contacting  Glendora Headley,  secretary,   75 Pike View Farms,

Fairview, WV.26570.
